Terms of Service

Bitelrn is a subscription learning platform for Data Science and Analytics professionals. It provides bite-sized lessons, quizzes, and a spaced repetition system that schedules topics for review over time. Part of our content is also published free and without an account in the Open Library.

We may change, add or remove features. If a change materially reduces what you have paid for, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused period.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You must give accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
• Your account is personal to you. Do not share your login. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with full access. The trial is limited to one per account, and one per person, for the lifetime of that account. It is granted automatically at sign-up — you do not need to enter card details to start it, and it does not convert into a paid plan by itself.

When the trial ends, access to Phase 1 content continues free of charge. Later phases require a subscription. Creating additional accounts to obtain further trials is a breach of these terms.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as Merchant of Record. This means Dodo is the seller of record for your purchase, issues your invoice, and handles applicable sales tax or VAT. Their terms apply to the payment transaction itself.

• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until cancelled.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — you keep full access until then. We do not cut access off on the day you cancel.
• Changing plan. You can move between monthly and annual plans in either direction. Changes are handled by the payment provider and prorated according to their rules.
• Failed payment. If a payment fails your account is marked past due. We will attempt to contact you. If it remains unpaid, paid access ends.
• Price changes. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before any price increase affecting your renewal. You may cancel before it takes effect.

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a distance contract. By starting to use the paid service immediately you ask us to begin supply within that period, and you lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully supplied — but you may still cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for any unused portion within the first 14 days.

Outside that window, subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law, or where we have failed to provide the service. Refund requests go to support@bitelrn.com. Because Dodo is the Merchant of Record, approved refunds are issued through them.

Promotional codes are issued at our discretion, may be withdrawn at any time, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for money. Codes granting free access are always time-limited — we do not issue lifetime access. We may void codes obtained through error, resale or abuse.

Lesson content on Bitelrn is generated using AI and then reviewed through automated verification. We work hard on accuracy, but AI systems make mistakes.

Content is provided for educational purposes only. It is not professional, financial, legal, medical or career advice, and you should not rely on it as the sole basis for any decision with real consequences. Verify anything important against primary sources. If you spot an error, please tell us — it helps everyone.

Code examples and interactive exercises are illustrative. Run them at your own risk and do not use them in production without review.

We own, or are licensed to use, all content, design, and software on Bitelrn. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access it for your own learning.

You may not:

• copy, scrape, republish, resell or redistribute our content, whether manually or by automated means;
• use our content to train, fine-tune or evaluate machine learning models;
• share your account, or provide access to people who have not paid;
• remove or obscure any attribution or notice.

Open Library pages are free to read and link to. You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. Wholesale reproduction is not permitted.

You agree not to:

• interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission, or attempt to bypass access controls or paywalls;
• use automated tools to extract content at scale, or place unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
• use the service unlawfully, or to infringe anyone else's rights;
• create multiple accounts to obtain repeated free trials or to evade a suspension.

Responsible security disclosures are welcome — email support@bitelrn.com and give us a reasonable chance to fix the issue before publishing.

We aim to keep Bitelrn available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend access for maintenance, and we depend on third-party infrastructure that can fail. We do not offer a formal uptime guarantee at this stage.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or where required by law. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.

If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of your current period. If we terminate it for breach, we are not obliged to refund.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that: we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.

If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights that these terms do not affect.

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice by email or in the application at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before it applies. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your home country's law.
